Roger Pacos

The village of Fredonia is mourning the loss of Trustee and community servant Roger Pacos. Pacos unfortunately passed away on the evening of Nov. 1.

All around the community condolences have been pouring out. The Fredonia Athletics Department recently tweeted “Rest in Peace former Fredonia Bowling coach, Teacher and Friend, Roger Pacos. The lasting impression you had on so many students and colleagues will never be forgotten.”

The Fredonia Central School District echoed those sentiments in a tweet that reads “the entire Fredonia community is feeling this loss. We are sending love and support to Roger’s family and friends. Today, we wear orange and black for you, Roger.”

In a statement on the village website the village states “it is with a heavy heart and extreme sadness to announce that Trustee Roger Pacos passed away this evening. Rest in peace Roger, you will be greatly missed.”

Sentiments have poured out around Facebook and other social media sites with village Mayor Doug Essek saying “very sad day for all those who knew Roger Pacos.”
