Leonel Olivencia, 42, of Dunkirk, N.Y., died on Nov. 21, 2021, following a short illness. He was born on Aug. 3, 1979, in the Bronx, N.Y., to the late Carlos Alvero and Maria Olivencia of Dunkirk, N.Y.

He was educated in Hormiguero, Puerto Rico, and was a self-employed barber in Dunkirk, N.Y.

Besides his mother, Maria, Leonel is survived by three brothers, Abrian Alvarado of PR, Carlos Alvarado of Dunkirk, N.Y., Lester Marrero-Olivencia, and sister, Natalia Ramos-Olivencia. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Leonel’s Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at 6 p.m. in the FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 East Main Street, Fredonia, N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service and may call at the funeral home from 3-6 p.m., prior to the service.

Interment will be in Puerto Rico.
