Carmen Wappman created the quilt for the Imagine Forestville raffle. She began quilting more than 30 years ago, after her daughter graduated from high school. She said the biggest challenge making this quilt was deciding how to put the many colors together – and the result is stunning. The quilt took about a month to make, with the majority of time spent on the hand quilting. She said she prefers quilting by hand because machine stitching stands out more and takes away from a quilt’s pattern.
