There were no injuries reported in a car/tractor trailer accident Thursday around 11 a.m. near the intersection of Routes 60 and 83 in the town of Pomfret. The two vehicles collided on slick roads. The county’s Haz-Mat team was called to the scene due to spilled diesel fuel. County dispatch was told that about 100 gallons of fuel had leaked from the semi.
