LILY DALE MAN CHARGED IN NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING

LILY DALE — A 23-year-old resident has been charged after a month-long investigation into the trafficking of narcotics from Great Britain to Chautauqua County.

On Tuesday, the Chautauqua County Narcotics Investigators and the Chautauqua County Office of the Sheriff in conjunction with Customs and Border Protection and the Department of Homeland Security said

Nicholas A. Loomis was taken into custody without incident after allegedly receiving packages containing 3 kilos of codeine from overseas utilizing FedEx shipping service. Loomis was charged with first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and transported to centralized arraignment at the Chautauqua County Office of the Sheriff

Loomis was the sent to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail at this time.

The Chautauqua County Narcotics Investigators are comprised of officers from the Dunkirk Police Department and the Chautauqua County Office of the Sheriff.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

¯ Alivia M. Salverson, 19, and Tizon M. Moreland, 21, both of Jamestown, were picked up on arrest warrants out of Ellicott Town Court on charges of second-degree harassment. Both were located at 10:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Colony Motel on Fairmount Avenue. The warrants stem from a fight that occurred May 6 at 585 Fairmount Ave. Salverson and Moreland were issued tickets to appear in court later.

¯ Nancy M. Carlson, 53, no address listed, was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Patrol responded at 5:47 p.m. Saturday to a reported overdose on Curtis Street Extension. Officers found that Carlson had allegedly been babysitting three young children and was the only adult inside the home. Carlson was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

¯ Bobby R. Mount, 40, no address listed, was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing and/or blood circulation and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers responded May 12 to a reported physical domestic dispute in progress in the village of Falconer. It was alleged that Mount pushed another person, violating an order of protection. Mount also allegedly choked a juvenile that was present. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment and is scheduled to appear in Ellicott Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

¯ FREWSBURG — Edward D. Stappenbeck, 37, of Frewsburg, was charged with second-degree harassment. Stappenbeck was charged following an alleged altercation that took place at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday in Frewsburg. He was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
