David William Treadway

DEWITTVILLE- David William Treadway, 59, of Dewittville, NY, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, August 28, 2023, following a recent illness.

He was born June 17, 1964, in Jamestown, NY, the son of the late D. William and Nancy Coons Treadway.

Dave was a 1982 graduate of Mayville Central School. He was the owner and operator of Treadway Trucking in Dewittville, NY.

Dave was a member of the Mayville American Legion Post 493 and the Lake Chautauqua VFW Post 8647. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Treadway of Mayville, NY, a granddaughter, Madelyn Treadway, a brother, Thomas (Donna) Treadway of East Aurora, NY, his companion, and lifelong friend, Janet Trippy of Dewittville, NY, a niece, Taylor Treadway and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Calling hours will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023, at the Freay Funeral Home in Mayville (139 S. Erie St) with a celebration of life to follow immediately after at the Mayville American Legion (144 S Erie St)

A private burial will be held at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Kiantone, NY.
