FORESTVILLE: Paul R. Duck, 77, of Prospect Road, Forestville, passed away Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 at his residence, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Lamar Township, PA on November 15, 1945, the son of the late Howard and Gladys (Hettinger) Duck, Sr.

Paul was a graduate of the former Bald Eagle- Nittany High School, Mill Hall, PA, Class of 1963 and served in the U.S. Marines as a Sgt from 1963-1967. He was an Engineering Equipment Mechanic, stationed in San Francisco & Okinawa. He worked as a Bus Driver for Forestville Central School for 11 years and previously worked for 30 years with the NYS Corrections, starting as head of maintenance and finishing as Supervisor of Business Administration at Lakeview Shock in Brocton.

Paul was a member of J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post 953, Forestville, the Cherry Creek Masonic Lodge 384 F&AM and was a member and past president of several Pool Leagues, including Dunkirk, South Dayton and Silver Creek.

He loved his International Farmall Tractors, family time, reading, puzzles and especially his grandkids.

Survivors include his wife Gina “Ginger” M. (Valentine) Duck of Forestville, whom he married on September 1, 1994, in the Town of Hanover, three daughters, Wynnette Duck, of Canadensis, PA; Kim (Joe) Pasternack, of Gowanda; Colleen (Mark Martin) Smith, of Forestville; three brothers, Robert Duck, Samuel (Sandra) Duck, Eli (Gail) Duck. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by three brothers Howard Duck, Jr., Merrill Duck, Martin Duck, a sister Elizabeth Klemens and a granddaughter Karrissa Wiatrowski.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday morning at 11 o’clock from the Forestville Cemetery, 10480 Prospect Road, Forestville, with Rev. Bruce M. Ellis, pastor of the Forestville Wesleyan Church, officiating. Military Services will be conducted by members of J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post 953, Forestville.
