Chautauqua County History Lecture Series: Dunkirk Then and Now: Three Critical Streets

1891 Fredonia Opera House, 9 Church St., 7 p.m. Author, photographer and Dunkirk Historian Diane Andrasik’s presentation will focus on her book “Dunkirk Then and Now: Three Critical Streets. The book explores three main north-south streets in the city: Central Avenue, Main Street and Washington Avenue. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event, with proceeds benefiting the Dunkirk Historical Society. Free admission to the presentation,, donations accepted.

Lakeshore Humane Society Saturday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes.
