Donald W. Sortore Jr., 59, of Westfield, NY passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 11, 2025 at his home.

He was born on Oct. 9, 1965 in Westfield, NY, the son of Donald W. and Susan (nee Bajdo) Sortore. Don was a lifetime area resident who graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School in 1985.

Don enjoyed playing video games, watching WWE wrestling, reading and watching sci-fi movies, and watching NASCAR racing. He also loved his feline companions.

He is survived by his mother Susan Sortore of Westfield, NY; two children, Andrew Sortore of Kennedy, NY and Brittany Sortore of Dunkirk, NY; a step-son, Allan Bourquin of Silver Creek,NY; five grandsons; a sister, Sally (Paul) Farnham of Portland, NY; a niece, Linda (Steve) Keefer of New Castle, Pa; his former wife, Kimberly Bourquin of Westfield, NY. He will also be greatly missed by his best friends, Bruce and Richard.

Don was predeceased by his father, Donald W. Sortore Sr.

As per Don’s wishes services will be private. Interment will be made in the Portland Evergreen Cemetery. Don’s family suggest memorial contributions in his memory be made to the Westfield Stray Cat Rescue, 8494 Rt. 20 Westfield, NY 14787.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY.
