Preparing the Fredonia American Legion Post 59 for Memorial Day, was Scout Troop and Pack 267. They assisted Auxiliary Legion member Joan Loewer with planting flowers underneath the Legion sign and raking and sweeping the property. "The results are beautiful!" Loewer said. The troops also received a brief lesson on citizenship from Loewer signifying the importance of community service.The troop will be involved in other beautification projects in our area. Thanks goes to Home Depot, Yerico Farms and Barnes Greenhouses for donating the flowers. Parents of the children also donated their time.
