Pognant, 38, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny after officers responded to the Dollar General in Lakewood for a reported shoplifting in progress. Upon further investigation, 33-year-old Kyle D. Elderkin did intentionally damage property inside of a residency. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — WESTFIELD —- At around 8 p.m. Friday, deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported past tense altercation. Through an investigation it was found that 41-year-old, Larry M. Houser of Westfield did subject another person to unwanted physical contact as well as prevent them from contacting emergency services. Houser was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief. Snyder, 41, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny, two counts of public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child at 11:09 a.m. Thursday after officers responded to a downtown business for a reported shoplifting. Snyder allegedly stole merchandise from the business. Officers located and arrested Snyder before he could leave the property.
