MAYVILLE — The 2018 Presidents Day Weekend Winter Festival recently held in February in Mayville featured chainsaw artist and carver Vince Liuzzo of Sherwood Arts of Jamestown.

This very talented chainsaw carver created a replica of the small lighthouse located on the shores of Chautauqua Lake in Mayville. Sherwood Arts raffled off this beautifully carved lighthouse to benefit the Food Bank of Western New York.

Many people purchased tickets for a chance to win this magnificent creation. Johanna and Rich Howard were the lucky winners and got to take the lighthouse home with them.

As a result of this raffle, proceeds in the amount of $529 were donated by Vince Liuzzo of Sherwood Arts to the Food Bank to assist them in their mission to help those in need.
