St. Elizabeth Church hosts Our Lady of Fatima National Statue

The National Virgin Pilgrim Statue of Our Lady of Fatima will be in the Diocese of Buffalo Aug. 8 to 27. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton will receive the statue on Thursday, Aug. 16. This statue, blessed by Pope Paul VI in 1967 in honor of the apparitions at Fatima, promotes the message of Our Lady to three shepherd children in October of 1917. The message was confirmed by a spectacular “miracle of the sun” and witnessed by 70,000 people including newspaper reporters and dignitaries of the Catholic Church.
