CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – HANOVER – Christine L. Gard, 44, of Silver Creek, was charged Monday with second-degree harassment. It is alleged that around 10 a.m. Gard was involved in an altercation on Angell Road, where she hit another person in the face. She was taken to the county jail for arraignment and will answer to the charge in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
An alleged break-in attempt in Fredonia Tuesday morning led to an arrest. According to a press release from the Fredonia Police Department, they received a 911 call describing a man attempting to break into a residence through a rear door on Lakeview Avenue. The operator, who was uninjured, was identified as Reid L. Johnson, 54, of Kennedy. Through further investigation, it was found that Johnson had been operating the motorcycle while intoxicated.
