CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE SILVER CREEK – Edwin A Ernst, 39, of Silver Creek was charged Friday with endangering the welfare of a child. Around 2:15 a.m. the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Main Street in the village of Silver Creek for a report of a disorderly person. Ernst allegedly did act in a manner likely to be injurious to a child less than 17 years old. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to be arraigned in the Centralized Arraignment Program.
