Lake Shore sees increase in earnings

Lake Shore Bancorp Inc. on Wednesday reported second-quarter earnings of $1.7 million. On a per-share basis, the Dunkirk, New York-based company said it had profit of 29 cents. “During the first six months of 2022, we produced meaningful growth in our net interest margin, while also significantly enhancing our asset quality. Celebrate Independence Day with summer events

The Independence Day weekend is here and there are so many ways to celebrate locally with something for everyone! The annual Chautauqua County 4th of July parade will step off at 10am Monday, in Mayville. There are community celebrations featuring great food and live music at terrific outdoor parks in Dunkirk, Lakewood, and Mayville. Annual golf tourney to be held Saturday, July 30

CHAUTAUQUA — The seventh annual CHRIC Classic Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, July 30, at the Chautauqua Golf Club’s Lake Course. There is still time to register a team or to sponsor the tournament. Registration and lunch starts at noon with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The entry fee is $95 a player or $380 a foursome which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, two drink tickets and dinner.
