Lake Shore High School Inducts new members into National Honor Society

ANGOLA — Recently, the Lake Shore Senior High School inducted 41 juniors and seniors into the National Honor Society. Chapter leaders led a candle lighting ceremony before the inductees were introduced and underwent the administration of the NHS oath.

To be considered for the National Honor Society, students need to maintain a 92 percent or above average for their first two- or three-and-a-half years of high school, exhibit leadership qualities, have exemplary character and perform community service.

“This ceremony is the culmination of months, and even years of hard work and dedication to learning and leading at Lake Shore Senior High School,” commented Honor Society Advisor Kerry Feldmann. “These students have met exceptionally high standards to be a part of this society, and we encourage them to continue to build on this foundation of excellence as they prepare for college and careers.”
