With reunion events filling three days from July 21 to 23, nearly 60 classmates of the Fredonia High School Class of 1967 celebrated 50 years since their graduation. A picnic gathering at the home of Mary Lou Lefferts Vercant kicked off the weekend. On Saturday, July 22, friends gathered for a guided tour of Fredonia High School conducted by Principal Darrin Paschke and then followed up with a trolley tour of the village. Dinner at the Clarion Hotel was highlighted by a beautiful tribute cake created by classmate George Civiletto and 33 lighted luminaries to honor deceased class members. Dancing to the music of The Wretched Group topped off the evening. The Dunkirk Lighthouse was the setting for a farewell brunch on Sunday, July 23. Committee members who planned events for the past year included: George Civiletto, Janet Calanni Keefe, Bob Davis, Memory Finn Kolasa, Kathy Glenzer Holser, John Keller, Mary Lou Lefferts Vercant, Mickey Mamp, Susan Purcell Cobb, Evie Shields Sievert, Linda Siragusa and Leroy Wright.
