Misha T. Kwasniewski of Columbia, Mo. has graduated from Cornell University with a doctorate in food science. His dissertation, “The Significance of Viticultural Management and Vinification Decisions on Wine Quality Parameters – Elemental Sulfur Residues and C13 Norisoprenoid Precursors,” was completed under the direction of Dr. Gavin Sacks. Already the author of many scientific journal articles, Dr. Kwasniewski is currently an assistant research professor and enology program leader at the Grape and Wine Institute of the University of Missouri. Kwasniewski is a 1997 graduate of Fredonia High School. He completed his bachelor of science degree in viticulture and enology in 2009 at Cornell. He is the son of Harold and Deborah Kwasniewski of Portland.
