Larry ‘Hap’ and Sylvia Perry of Forestville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 9. The couple recently had their marriage blessed by the Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn at a Mass at St. Rose of Lima in Forestville.

They were married at Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church in Orchard Park on October 9, 1954, by the Rev. John S. Doyle. Beverly Brown served as maid of honor and Richard Bogdan as best man.

Hap is retired from the U.S. Army.

The couple was blessed with five children: the late Debra Ann Perry, Lindy Perry of Buffalo, Toni (George) Ortolano of Silver Creek, Julie Kohler of Forestville and Larry (Jennifer) Perry of Barker. They also have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
