Jamestown Regional Celtic Festival and Gathering of the Clans

Mayville Lakeside Park, 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. No pets due to insurance reasons. Bring seating. 30 Gatherings of the Clans,9 Pipe Bands, 30 Scottish Heavy Athletes, Scottish and Irish Dancers, beer and wine garden, Celtic and craft vendors, old-fashioned fiddle session, kids’ area with Clan hunt. Performances by “Mudmen,” “Tuatha Dea,” “Emerald Isle,” “Celtic Creek,” “Step n Time,” “Waterhorse,” then “Penny Whiskey” from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Admission $15, seniors $10, children 13 and under free. Westfield Farmers’ and Artisans’ Market

Moore Park, center of Westfield, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Locally grown produce, meats, baked goods, food products, craft items and more. Prepared foods suitable for breakfast and lunch and hot and cold beverages are also available. The Westfield Flea, an antiques and vintage market, is on the other side of the park.

Audubon Community Nature Center Monarch Butterfly Festival

1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. $8 adults $6 Nature Center members, $6 children 3 to 15, free 2 and under. Reservations appreciated, walk-ins welcome. Educational event with indoor and outdoor butterfly-related festivities, including the “butterfly room” filled with live butterflies and cut flowers creating an indoor butterfly garden. The festival ends at 4 p.m. with a butterfly release.

Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and Chautauqua Marina native plant sale

Chautauqua Marina, 104 W. Lake Road, Mayville, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free admission. A variety of native plants available for purchase from local vendors. CWC Conservationist Carol Markham will be on hand to answer questions about native plant selection and native garden design. Guided educational lakeside buffer walks offered, weather permitting. Proceeds benefit CWC and Chautauqua Lake.

Anderson-Lee Library presents: Bug off with Bees!

Leon Fire Commissioners annual fire district inspection and community picnic

Leon firehall, begins at noon. Open to all Leon Fire District residents. Fire equipment will be displayed, department members will answer questions. Bring a dish to pass. Meat, non-alcoholic beverages, table service provides. Historical and Penny Royal displays, children’s activities, music, gift/basket raffle and 50/50s.

Lakeshore Humane Society Saturday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats. Art in Recovery Sunday worship service

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, Fourth and Main Streets, Jamestown, 10 a.m. worship service with Sean Jones, MHA certified peer specialist, guest preacher. Before and after the service, view art works by over 10 artists in the MHA Art in Recovery program. Also following the service, MHA staff will lead a NARCAN training.
