Betsy Burgason led members of the Bud ‘n Bloom and Chadwick Bay garden clubs on a tour of the rain gardens at Chautauqua Institution. Native plants fill these gardens, designed to reduce the runoff into Chautauqua Lake and to conserve water. Burgason pointed out, for example, these gardens flourished even in this drought year. Members gathered after the tour for a picnic supper.
