Halloween Express train ride planned on Saturday

GOWANDA – The New York & Lake Erie Railroad and Love, Inc. will hold a Halloween Express train ride out of Gowanda on Saturday.

The train will depart from the Gowanda Depot, 50 Commercial St., Gowanda at 11 a.m. and make a 20 mile, approximately two-hour round trip to South Dayton and back. There will be a short layover at South Dayton.

Passengers are invited to dress in costume, and prizes will be awarded in several categories.

Train ticket prices are $15 per person for adults, $10 per person for children ages 3 to 11, (toddlers 2 and under may ride free on the lap of a ticket holder). Train tickets can be purchased in advance online until Thursday at gowandaloveinc.org.

If there are any unsold seats, they will go on sale starting at 10 a.m. at the Gowanda Depot. Questions may be directed to Love Inc. at 532-3541 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays or Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
