On a cold but pleasant Dec. 22 Friday evening before Christmas, the 4H Club Fredonia Star Riders stood outside Forestville businesses: Caves, Evans Bank and Tavern on the Mall, from 4 to 6 p.m. to ask the patrons to help the less fortunate in their community.

The club would like to thank the generous Forestville community and the patrons and owners/managers who helped the club raise $284 for the Forestville Food Pantry.

The club also held a food, clothing and toy drive to benefit the Forestville Food Pantry. This drive was held at the Forestville Elementary School, for which the 4H Club would like to thank School Superintendent Renee Garrett for allowing them to hold from the drive from Dec. 4 to 19, and to all the wonderful students, families and faculty for their generous donations to the Forestville Food Pantry!
