CIAO meets to discuss restructuring and joining Buffalo’s Italian Club

CIAO Board of Directors met on Feb. 5 at the home of Laurie Detenbeck to discuss the restructuring of the club.

As voted during the December meeting and Christmas party, members decided to limit the number of activities to the annual picnic and the Christmas party and join the Italian Club in Buffalo.

As a member of the Italian Club, CIAO members can attend any of the meetings and activities sponsored by the Italian Club. President, Sam Crisanti will contact, Peter Lojacono, president of the organization to get more details of dates and activities.

Members are currently working on a CIAO Facebook page, where postings of upcoming events will be posted. Photos, future events and links to other Italian cultural events will be posted, too.

Due to the fact that CIAO is limiting their activities, any member/members that paid full dues either at the picnic or Christmas party, will have dues paid for two years. Dues are now $5 per person, $7.50 for couples, and no charge for children up to 18 years of age.

The annual picnic will be on Saturday, Aug. 3 in the lower pavilion and the Christmas party will be held at the Beaver Club on Sunday, Dec. 8.
