Rotary scholarship breakfast set for Brocton

BROCTON — Call them flapjacks, hotcakes or simply pancakes, but do enjoy them fresh off the griddle at the Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville’s “Scholarship Pancake Breakfast” on Sat., April 6, from 8 to 11 a.m. in the Brocton Central School Cafeteria, 138 West Main St. in Brocton. All net proceeds from this event will fund this Rotary club’s youth scholarships to some graduating seniors from the Brocton, Chautauqua Lake, Sherman and Westfield Academy and Central School Districts.

This family-friendly breakfast includes hot-off-the griddle, all-you-can-eat pancakes with pure maple syrup, sausage, applesauce and coffee, tea or grape juice. Also, there will be a Chinese auction with a nice selection of gift baskets and items, and Harrington Farms will offer their pure maple syrup for sale.

Tickets are $7 / adult, $5 / child, age 6-12, and free / child, age 5 and under. Advance tickets are now on sale, and they may be purchased from any member of the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club or by contacting Tracy Bennett, 716-326-3800 or tbennett@fairpoint.net. Since a limited number of tickets will be available at the door, the public is invited to purchase tickets by Apr. 1.

So, whether you want a short stack or tall stack of pancakes, get your tickets soon for the Westfield-Mayville Rotary Club’s April 6 “Scholarship Pancake Breakfast” and help fund this service organization’s youth scholarships.
