Knights Against Cancer, a club for high school students in the Silver Creek Central School District, volunteered at Kevin Guest House in Buffalo this month by cooking lasagnas and eating with those from all over the country living in the residence and their families. Kevin Guest House provides a home away from home for patients and their families traveling for medical care.

Advisor Jessica Kardashian says the highlight of the night was the students hearing from a man who shared his story and told the kids they were his heroes for doing this on their own time and giving them one of the greatest lessons of all about the power of impact they can truly make.

“The dinner culminated a year of amazing events and volunteer work,” says Kardashian. “I couldn’t be prouder of our students and to continue our work next year!”
