WCA hosts Spring Fling

Keeping our senior citizens connected to their community is sometimes a challenge even in assisted living situations. The WCA Home of Fredonia is planning a Spring Fling on Saturday, June 15, to get our seniors out in the community for an afternoon of music and connecting with friends from our area.

The event is free and will be held at the Harvest Chapel Church in Fredonia at 39 Matteson St. at 2 p.m. Frank Farina and Friends will perform music for an hour featuring some old-time favorites. There will be a raffle of birdhouses, many of which have been painted by the WCA residents. Tickets for the raffle will be $5 and all proceeds benefit future WCA Home activities.

Following the raffle of the birdhouses will be a social hour with light refreshments being provided with the help of the members of the Friends of the WCA Home as well as the WCA Board of Directors.

Students from the Fredonia Middle School Service Learning Club will also be assisting for the event. The venue is handicapped accessible and all are welcome to attend. Organizers encourage community members of all ages to attend to connect with friends, and enjoy an afternoon of wonderful music, refreshments and a gathering of ages.
