Attention all CIAO members: we are still organized and working to provide you with activities you requested at our December meeting!

We have officially added our membership to the many Italian organizations in Erie County! This is exciting news for our membership! As a member of the Federation of Italian-American Societies of Western New York, you will be connected to so many activities around the area. The Federation headed by Peter Lojacono, attended our December meeting to discuss the organization. The Federation, currently in its 109th year, is the umbrella organization for Italian Societies and organizations throughout Western New York.

Sam and Sally Crisanti attended the meeting and it was quite informative. They have a lot going on. They are going to add our events to their Facebook page. You might want to check it out if you are on Facebook. Federation of Italian-American Societies of Western NY. It is an open group so you don’t even need to ask to be a member

Its purpose is to promote understanding and appreciation of the Italian culture and the contributions and achievements of Italian-Americans.

It’s not too early to mark your calendars and save the following dates: Annual picnic and meeting on Aug. 3 at Russell Joy Park, lower pavilion.

Our Christmas party is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 8 at the Beaver Club.
