Paint n’ Sips at Audubon, Thursday evenings, July 16 or 23

JAMESTOWN — The public is invited to create their own masterpiece at one of the Audubon Community Nature Center’s “Socially Distant Paint n’ Sip Art Nights,” on Thursday, July 16, or Thursday, July 23.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m Emily Rechin, Audubon Community Nature Center seasonal naturalist, will provide step-by-step instructions for acrylic artwork as well as information on the nature subject to be painted.

Each person will be seated at their own table situated six feet apart from other participants. All materials will already be at the table and any hors d’oeuvres or refreshments will be safely served at the table. If the weather cooperates, the program may be outdoors to allow for more space and no face coverings.

Local white and red wines will be available to those 21 and up, with non-alcoholic drinks also available.

Rechin has experience painting with all mediums. Beginners to advanced artists are welcome. Participants are asked to wear clothes they do not mind getting paint on and to bring a face covering as they will not be provided.

The fee for each program is $40, $30 for Nature Center members, and space is limited.

Paid reservations are required by Monday for the July 16 class and Monday, July 20, for the July 23 class. They can be made by calling 569-2345 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays or going to AudubonCNC.org/Programs and clicking on “Current Schedule.”
