SILVER CREEK — The Anderson-Lee Library has a new slate of events and activities for May.

Miss Jill will be holding a pre-school storytime on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in the library for children ages 2-5 and their caregivers. Story time will include stories, singing, rhymes and crafts. Space is limited to five children and pre-registration and masks are required. COVID-19 safety measures will be in place. Call 934-3468 or register on the library’s website.

Most programming is either virtual or is available via Take and Make Activity Kits. Patrons of all ages are invited to stop by and take home a free kit for home use. For the month of May, the library is offering Cabochon Magnet Kits for adults and teens. Each kit will contain the supplies to make two magnets with a variety of decorative paper and weeded book pages. Children can celebrate World Turtle Day by making a mosaic turtle. All kits are free and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Check Facebook for all of Miss Jill’s prerecorded stories. New stories from Miss Jill are posted on Tuesday evenings for bedtime storytime, Thursday morning for pre-school storytime, and Friday morning for Fairy Tale Fridays. Miss Amy reads to school age children via Zoom on Thursday mornings at 10:30.

The library, 43 Main St., Silver Creek, is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from noon to 5 p..m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, computer use is limited and appointments must be made to reserve a time. There is a limit of one hour per day per patron. Call the library at 934-3468 to reserve a time. Fax and copy service is available anytime the library is open. Visit the library’s Facebook Page, the library’s website at www.andersonleelibrary.org or call the library for connection information.
