Health Center week proclaimed in city
OBSERVER Staff Report
Dunkirk Mayor Wilfred Rosas has proclaimed this week, Aug. 7-13, as National Community Health Center Week.
Rosas’ proclamation encourages residents to take part by visiting the Chautauqua Center in Dunkirk. The week offers an opportunity to recognize the nation’s 1,400 health center organizations, including staff, board members and patients, it adds.
“Every day, health care centers such as the Chautauqua Center… develop new approaches to integrating a wide range of services beyond primary care, including oral health, vision, behavioral health, and pharmacy services, to meet the needs and challenges of their communities,” the proclamation states.
