Step Up for Autism and Sprout Film Festival

Reg Lenna Center for the Arts, 116 E. Third St., Jamestown, 5 p.m. Walk from the Reg to The Resource Center’s pop-up store at 221 Cherry St. The lobby of the Reg will open at 6 for a pre-show beverage, basket raffle and silent sweets auction. The program of ten films begins at 7, followed by a live sweets auction and announcements of the basket winners.

Lakeshore Humane Society Wednesday open adoption hours

The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from 6 to 8 p.m. Note that during the month of September, the adoption fee for adult cats (over one year of age) is reduced to $40. For senior cats (over eight years old), the adoption fee is always $30. The public is welcome to see the dogs and cats in need of loving homes. Tours of the facility will not be given. Individual appointments are available throughout the week by leaving a message at 716 672-1991; press “1” for dogs or “2” for cats. One must be 21 years of age or older to adopt a pet.
