Angel Gowns presentation set for Friday
SILVER CREEK — Angel Gowns of WNY will visit Anderson-Lee Library on Friday at 2 p.m. to give a presentation about their organization. This presentation is free to attend and is open to the public.
Angel Gowns of WNY was founded in April 2014 in Buffalo. It is dedicated to creating beautiful final photo and burial gowns, handcrafted by volunteers, from generously donated wedding gowns and special occasion dresses, to offer comfort to grieving families during their time of loss. It is the mission of the agency is to distribute Angel Gowns to any Hospital, Infant Loss organization, funeral home or family that needs one, completely free of charge.
Recently, the Library’s handiwork group, The Secret Society of Twisted Stitchers began collaborating with the organization to create and donate crocheted hats for Angel Babys. A sampling of the hats will be on display at the library throughout the month of September. Please stop by anytime the library is open to see these gifts of love created by the hands of local community members.
Anderson-Lee Library is located at 43 Main St. The hours are noon to 8 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, noon to 5 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. It is closed Sunday and Wednesday. Call 716-934-3468 with any questions.
