Silver Creek Seniors meet
SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Tuesday, July 1 with 27 members present. President Sally Conover opened the meeting with the Pledge to the flag and all singing God Bless America. She then entertained us with some jokes. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read, “It only takes one Voice” and asked for a blessing on the members and food. Grilled hot dogs, and salads were enjoyed by all.
The 50-50 raffle winners were Al Wilson, Pauline and Jan Polisoto. Door prizes were won by Lorrie Newman, Joan Suski and Janice Snyder. Winners of the wheel were: Jeanne Blakely (twice), Becky Fancher, Joan Militello and Jan P. Sally C. called bingo and winners were: Pauline (twice), Norra Carroll (twice), Joan S. (twice), Ruth Sheeler, Harry Suski, John Czuba, Janice S., Earl Sheeler and Jan P. Next week’s luncheon will be a variety of salads and desserts.
Members are reminded to arrive at noon on Tuesday when the Silver Creek Hanover Garden Club will have a dedication of the oak tree that was planted on the grounds in memory of past president Ed Newman.
The club normally meets every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at 1823 Lake Road, Silver Creek and is open to the senior public. Anyone wishing information about the meetings, please call Lorrie at 716-785-1074.
