SHERIDAN — A flea market will be at the VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20. The hours are 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday and the market opens again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

There will be three new vendors with the regular vendors featuring different items from previous months. Once again the VFW fish fry was voted to the top 5 best fish fries in the OBSERVER/Post-Journal “Best of the Best” contest. The VFW says “thank you” to all those fish fry supporters.

While browsing and shopping at the flea market, please fill out a ticket to win two free fish dinners. No purchase is necessary for the free dinners. The lucky winner of the free dinner will be drawn on Saturday at 1 p.m. You do not have to be present to win.

The “Cash for Christmas” 50-50 tickets are available until Saturday. This is an ongoing 50-50 drawing that started with the first flea market at the beginning of October. One lucky winner will receive half of the “Cash for Christmas,” the other half will be for our well deserving veterans.

You do not have to be present to win. So when you receive a call from a number you don’t recognize, it might be Santa with your “Cash for Christmas”!

The VFW Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting a bake sale on Friday night. All of the monies raised will go to assist dedicated veterans. Be sure to buy some sweet treats to enjoy with your fish fry dinner or to take home.

Please come to the VFW this weekend for the market and Friday fish fry. If you work on Friday,

come shop Saturday at the flea market and treat yourself to a delicious breakfast and lunch served by the VFW. You’ll find new and vintage Christmas decorations, Bills’ memorabilia, coins, records, jewelry, Christmas sweaters (pretty and ugly) and so much more all at great prices.

Breakfast menu includes breakfast sandwiches on homemade biscuits and coffee. Lunch menu is homemade soup, pizza and wings.

The VFW offers a full service bar for a variety of beverages.
