Final Sheridan flea market this weekend

SHERIDAN — The last flea market of the season will be at the VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20. The hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. A huge thank you goes out to the VFW for hosting the market every month. And, another huge thank you to the OBSERVER for printing the press releases. The VFW again will be offering two free fish dinners. Just come and shop at the flea market and fill out a ticket. No purchase is necessary for the free dinners. SUNY JCC plans student, faculty recitals

JAMESTOWN — SUNY Jamestown Community College’s Music Department will showcase its student and faculty talent with two upcoming recitals on the Jamestown Campus. Mayor Wdowiasz proclaims Child Abuse Prevention Month

The city of Dunkirk honored Child Abuse Prevention/Strengthening Families Month on Tuesday with a Pinwheels for Prevention event. During the month, emphasis is placed on the importance of families and communities working together to strengthen families to prevent child abuse and neglect.
