Erin M. Vacanti and Kyle A. Barthel, together with their families, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of William and Andrea Vacanti of Fredonia and Brenda and Russell Mancuso of Fredonia. She is a 2001 Fredonia High School graduate. She is the owner and works full time at Vacanti’s Hair & Nail Salon in Fredonia.

The prospective groom is the son of Virginia Gilbert of Orrstown, Pa., and the late Gregory Barthel of Pekin, Ill. He is a 1996 Forestville High School graduate. He is employed at the Town of Hanover Highway department, and also serves as Forestville’s fire chief.

A July 2015 wedding is planned.
