Deuble & Vogan to perform in Mayville Thursday night

MAYVILLE – The singing duo of Deuble & Vogan will be the featured musical performers for the Thursday Entertainment in the Park summer concert performance. The concert will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will be held at Lakeside Park, Mayville, located on Route 394 about a mile south of the uptown traffic light.

Jody Deuble and Dan Vogan teamed up in 1989 to form “the Electric-Acoustic Dynamics” of Deuble & Vogan. They have given more than 1,500 performances throughout Western New York, Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio, and the performance schedule continues. They performed at the Entertainment in the Park 2010 concert series, entertaining the audience with their talented musical and vocal styles. They incorporated a wireless microphone and instrument technology, along with the Roland percussion to enhance the performance dynamics for the audience.

They have recorded albums including “Somewhere in Colorado,” “The Orphaned Tracks,” and “Ridin’ Through Time.” During their musical careers, they have opened for Poco, Pure Prairie League, Earl Scruggs, Vince Gill, The Flying Burrito Brothers, John Hartford, Jay Ferguson, Corbin and Hanner, and many others. Vogan plays acoustic and electric guitar, 5-string banjo, lap steel guitars, and performs vocals. Deuble plays 6- and 12-string acoustic guitars and also performs vocals. They perform original songs, as well as music from the 1960’s to the present, classic rock, alternative, nostalgic, country rock, country, new-grass and bluegrass.

Rainbow the Clown (Jerry Stimson) will also be on hand to entertain the children with face painting and balloon sculptures. Rainbow is a favorite with the children. The Entertainment in the Park musical performances are provided free to the public through the sponsorship and support of the Village of Mayville and Town of Chautauqua.

In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Carlson Community Center also located at Lakeside Park, Mayville. Remember to bring your own seating for the outdoor performance. Seating will be provided if the performance is held in the Community Center. A 50/50 drawing will be held at each of the concerts this summer, the winner being announced just before the end of the performance.
