Willow Creek Winery presents ‘Rockin’ the Grapes IV’ featuring Dio Disciples

SILVER CREEK Willow Creek Winery presents “Rockin the Grapes IV”, featuring The Dio Disciples, Saturday. As part of their summer “Jammin’ at the Creek” concert series, this is the 4th Rockin the Grapes to take place at the winery.

“Rockin the Grapes” has been a festival where the winery features mainly rock ‘n roll music, for the fourth summer. Having acts like Ezekiel, Battery (A Tribute to Metallica), 2 Minutes 2 Maiden, and Joe Lynn Turner (formally of Deep Purple). Willow Creek has brought a wide range of rock music to its open air pavilion stage.

This summer, Willow Creek is welcoming Dio Disciples, a celebration of the music and legacy of the legendary singer, Ronnie James Dio. Dio Disciples is comprised of singers Tim “Ripper” Owens (Judas Priest) and Oni Logan (Lynch Mob), guitarist Craig Goldy (Dio), bassist Bjorn Englen (Yngwie Malmsteen), keyboardist Scott Warren (Dio, Heaven & Hell), and drummer, Vinny Appice, the original drummer of Dio.

The group touches upon almost every era of Dio’s stellar career, as you can expect to hear faithful and heavy renditions of all the Ronnie James Dio classic, including “Man on the Silver Mountain,” “Neon Knights,” “Rainbow in the Dark,” and “The Last in Line,” among countless others.

With their recent release of the 2-CD Deluxe Edition of “Magica” and “The Very Beast of Dio Vol. 2,” the all-star group, Dio Disciples in making a stop on their perfectly timed tour.

Opening acts for Rockin” the Grapes IV include Immortal from Silver Creek, Oliverio Band, and Hair Nation, an ’80s Hair Rock Tribute band from Buffalo.

Rockin’ the Grapes III gates open at 3 p.m. on Saturday and tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the gate, and children under 12 are free. Tickets are available at the Willow Creek Winery Box Office and Tickets.com Camping is available for $10 per person.

Friday will be a free Homegrown Music Friday featuring The Beggar’s Best and Fallen Union with special guests, Left Of Center. Music begins at 6 p.m. and camping is available, $10 per person.
