ANGOLA – On Friday and Saturday, Lake Shore Senior High School and the district music teachers will host this year’s Junior High South All-County Music Festival.

This is an annual event in Erie County and the second year in a row that Lake Shore will be hosting this special event. Over 500 students will be spending most of their weekend in intense rehearsals culminating in a concert in either the orchestra, band or chorus.

Students auditioned back in January and those receiving the top scores are invited to play with the best seventh, eighth- and ninth-grade musicians in these groups. Students had to memorize scales, learn and perform a solo, as well as sight read a small excerpt.
