Danza! Performing Arts presents holiday performances

Danza! Performing Arts Academy dance studio is pleased to announce its thirteenth annual Holiday production will be held on Thursday, Nov. 29 and Friday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.. at the historic 1891 Fredonia Opera House. “Deck the Halls” promises to be an exciting kick-off to the holiday season. The production features an array of holiday classics performed by local talented students of all ages.

The local holiday performances are open to the public. The annual performance features a number of the studio’s dancers each year in a unique and original presentation choreographed by Danza! Artistic Director Krista Taylor.

Opening the show is “Deck the Halls,” an upbeat jazz dance performed by some of the studio’s older students. In addition to Jazz; Hip hop, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Irish and Tumbling will also be performed. Beautiful holiday costumes, props and sets as well as a festively-decorated Opera House enhance the performance.

Young dancers will be performing “Nuttin’ for Christmas,” “When Santa Claus Gets Your Letter,” “Christmas Don’t be Late” and “Run, Run Rudolf.” Some of the studio’s tumbling students will flip to “Candy Cane Lane,” featuring a variety of skill level and ages as well as a large group tap dance to close the show.

The performances include something for everyone and are very family-friendly. Performers are from all over Chautauqua County and range from the age of three and up. Tickets are available for $15 each at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House at 679-1891. The box office, located at 9 Church St. in Fredonia, is open Tuesday through Friday 1 to 5 p.m.
