Final Cassadaga Lakes Summer Concert Series Sunday

Dos

CASSADAGA — On Sunday, Sept. 1, “Dos” will wind up the Cassadaga Lakes Summer Concert Series and will appear on the Floating Stage at Cassadaga Beach on Park Ave. from 5-7 p.m. “Dos” is a two-man rock band consisting of Gweege Cruz on drums and John Morse on keyboards. They have been performing at local venues for seven-years. You will have to look twice to realize that there are only two band members, as their sound rivals a full band. A variety of styles are performed, and “Dos” does their best at tackling jazz-rock, folk rock, ’50s, funk, disco, country rock, new wave and more.

Gweege began percussion in high school. In his 20s he was fronting an Eastern Pennsylvania band. After returning to Dunkirk, he spent time doing house gigs with the “Farmingdale Road Boys.” John is a life-long musician with training at the Crane School of Music. His early performing days were spent touring the east coast, playing at hotels and resorts. Since returning home, he has worked predominately as a soloist until “Dos” was created.

Come by boat or bring a chair or blanket. Stanfield’s Hotdogs and Lemonade will be there, or bring your own food and drink. Enjoy the last concert of the season, which is sponsored by the Cassadaga Lakes Association. Extra parking can be found at the fire hall on Mill Street. In case of inclement weather, this concert will be held at the Community Building on Mill Street or American Legion Post 1280 on Maple Avenue.
