Danza! Performing Arts Academy dance studio has announced its annual holiday production will be Thursday and Friday at 7 p.m. at the historic 1891 Fredonia Opera House. “Believe” is an exciting kick-off to the holiday season. The production features an array of holiday classics performed by local talented students of all ages.

The local holiday performances are open to the public. The annual performance features numerous of the studio’s dancers each year in a unique and original presentation choreographed by Danza! Artistic Director Krista Taylor.

Dancers are especially excited to be back on the Opera House stage after last year’s absence due to COVID.

Opening the show is “Sleigh Ride”; a Rockette inspired jazz dance performed by some members of the studio’s own performance company, Danzaco. Jazz, Hip hop, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Musical Theatre and Tumbling will also be performed. Beautiful holiday costumes, props and sets as well as a festively decorated Opera House enhance the performance.

Young dancers will be performing “All I want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth”, “I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas” , “Holly Jolly Christmas” and “Candy Cane Lane.” Some of the studio’s tumbling students will flip to “Christmas Jam” featuring a variety of skill levels and ages as well as a large group jazz dance to “Hot Chocolate” from the Polar Express to close the show.

The performances include something for everyone and are very family friendly. Performers are from all over Chautauqua County and range from the age of three and up. Tickets are available at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House at 679-1891. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday noon to 4:30 p.m. at 9 Church St in Fredonia. Tickets are also available at the door.
