School of Rock hits Dunkirk

School of Rock plays at the Point tonight.

The final week of Dunkirk’s Music at the Point Sunset Series is set today with the School of Rock House Band. The event is sponsored by Southern Tier Environments for Living, Inc. (STEL) and Lawley Insurance.

The School of Rock North Buffalo House Band is made up of teenage students from the School of Rock. They have been playing their instruments for approximately 1 to 2 years and this will be their first ever show in Dunkirk. The band has played over 50 gigs since School of Rock opened and the setlist contains rock songs through the ages.

The band, under the direction of Josh Pietrkiewicz, consists of Benjamin Kovach (guitar, drums, vocals), Brendan Dixon (guitar), David Kubiak Jr. (lead vocals), Harper Hazelton (keyboards), Jack Hennessy (guitar, bass), Logan Rath-Sherfick (lead vocals, bass)

and Jude Schieder (lead vocals, guitar).

Tonight is also STEL’s sponsor V.I.P. night where visitors are reminded to bring a chair, snacks and refreshments and enjoy the sunsets and music at Point Gratiot. An ice cream truck will also be selling treats that evening.

Point Gratiot will also be the host venue of the next two Thursdays’ Music on the Pier rain/wind make up days on Aug. 28 and Sept. 4 starting at 6 p.m.
