Library lists coming December events
Create gift tags and gift bags using old book pages and a variety of embellishments at Anderson-Lee Library in Silver Creek on Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m.
SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, at 43 Main St., has announced programming for the month of December. Programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program.

The library will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday.
— Preschool Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings Dec. 4, 11, and 18 with Miss Jill at 10:30 a.m. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. Pre-registration is requested.
— School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings December 4, 11, and 18 at 10:30 a.m. with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Pre-registration is requested.
— Lego Club for ages 5-12 Thursday, December 4 at 6:30 p.m. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is required.
— Make a Gingerbread House, Saturday, Dec. 6 at 10:30 a.m. All ages are invited to construct a house of graham crackers, frosting and lots of sweet treats! Pre-registration is required to ensure enough materials and seating for all.
— Create Gift Tags and Bags from Old Book Pages, Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. All ages are welcome to create gift tags and bags using old book pages and a variety of embellishments. Pre-registration is required to ensure enough materials and seating for all.
— Greeting Card Workshop, Saturday, Dec. 13 at noon. All ages are welcome to create greeting cards for any occasion you can think of! We will have lots of supplies available, so you just need to sit down and create to your hearts content. Please register in advance so that we may arrange for enough seating.
— The Secret Society of the Twisted Stitchers: Fridays from 2 to 4 p.m. This club is for all who love handiwork. Ages 10 and older and all skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Just getting started? For knitting, bring size 10/10.5 bamboo needles and a light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). For crochet, bring a size H hook and light-colored worsted weight yarn (#4). Come and learn or come and work on a project with others who love to knit, crochet, embroider, quilt etc.! No registration required. You do not need to commit to each week to attend. Please stop in and stitch!
Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday.
