SOUTH DAYTON — Another Wednesday night of music will be in the South Dayton Gazebo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday by Tuck-N-Pope Country Music. Bring lawn chairs as hot dogs and soda are available for sale by the Village Hall. Check out the Depot's Rail and Movie Museum. Music in the Gazebo Committee is sponsoring "The Story of the Bald Eagle" with Jace Wightman. This presentation is part of our Nation's 250th year celebration. This month, I’m going to digress and give attention to the “portal” that is now prevalent in college athletics. First, I have to give a history lesson on the NCAA (National Association of College Athletics) and the rules of enforcement. More and more these days Christian politicians and their followers use the Bible to justify their stances on societal issues. Many of our leaders use scripture to justify their support of the state of Israel and the related military actions as just warfare. They also use the Bible to condemn abortion, homosexuality and transgenderism.
