John the Baptist (Episcopal) Church announces Lenten events

John the Baptist (Episcopal) Church will be observing Lent with several different events starting with Ash Wednesday. Lent is the start of 40 days of fasting and penance as Christians prepare for the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday. This season is a reminder of Jesus’ fasting in the wilderness before He began His public ministry. Ashes, in the sign of the cross will be imposed at all services at St. John’s as a sign of penitence.
