Unitarian church giving away books, holding voter registration

JAMESTOWN — The Social Justice Committee of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Jamestown (UUCJ) is taking advantage of the church’s location along the route of the Memorial Day Parade. At 1255 Prendergast Avenue, the church is near Lakeview Cemetery, the parade’s destination. Parents and children who are watching or participating in the parade on Monday morning, May 27, are invited to stop in at the church and choose a book to take home. Catholic Charities HOPE Day 2019 reaches $323,130

BUFFALO — As of 4:30 p.m. Friday, the second annual Catholic Charities day of giving, now called HOPE Day, being held Friday throughout Western New York to benefit the 2019 Appeal, has now reached a total of $323,130. Spring craft and vendor fair coming to Lutheran campus
