Dunkirk Seniors Citizens hold craft class

The Dunkirk Senior Citizen Craft Class was held May 10.

Patriotic wreaths were made by those attending. The next craft class will be held on Monday, June 14, when the group will make a rock turtle. Stop by the center to sign up for the class and obtain a list of materials needed. Darleen Kawski and Bonnie Schneider are teaching the craft class.

Mahjong has started play once again at the center. Mahjong will be played every Tuesday at 12:30 p.m.

The center has also started electronics classes. The first class was for learning one’s cell phones. The center will have another cell phone class in June. Stop by the cnter to register. Laptops, tablets and computers will be starting shortly.

The Atlantic City trip will be held Sept. 26-30. Sign ups are currently taking place. The first payment is due June 7.

The travel committee is planning a shopping trip. Watch the Dunkirk Senior Center Facebook page, the OBSERVER, or stop in the center for details. The trip will be held in June.

Social time is being held at the center every Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Bring a bag lunch. The bottle cap guess is continuing. Stop by and guess the red, white and blue bottle caps. Pinochle is held every Monday and Friday at 1 p.m. Exercise class is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 a.m. Advanced tai chi is held every Tuesday and Thursday at 3 p.m.
